Berry Allery
Site specific window installation at Michael Berry Gallery in Salt Lake City, Utah, fall to winter of 2012. This piece was a response to the window space of the gallery, and was an invitation by curator Joseph Taylor. It is primarily an exercise in form, materials, and the phenomenological and is a continuation of an exploration of suspension, gravity, friction and motion. The components are connected to one another solely through friction, which was variously subject to gravity over the duration of its hanging. The installation takes on the feel of an organism, or a magnification of lines found within the body, such as veins or muscle fibers.
